current courses
Santa at his Desk By Norman Rockwell
so here is another list where you can see what i am actively working on and what courses i am working through. it may be good to create some sort of threading of blog posts. i will eventually learn to do that i am sure, but for now let us leave it as this.
as i mentioned, i think perspective is the best course to kind of start off with rendering being done simultaneously. i have decided to use Marshall Vandruff's ongoing perspective course and Dorian Iten's light and shading course to build my knowledge. my goal of my blog posts will try to distribute whatever diamonds i learn about to everybody.
i have also decided to complement this with the Complete Russian Academic Drawing Approach taught by Iliya Mirochnik as well. Their recommendation is to use a 18x24 sketch pad. I will try my best for anatomical studies to use that piece.
meet the online people i will be following the courses from...lol i will add as i complete more and more, collecting them like infinity stones. and of course, i will pick the funny pics.
(marshall vandruff, dorian iten)

you will see probably many, many, many failures. and i will tell you so. i am not in the business of looking good at this stage; i want to improve. i have also decided to upload my attempts at the assignments for the reasons of viewer critiques and to build accountability for practicing.
other than that, i mostly just spent this week finding sandpaper and doing exercises. one thing i really need to do is to draw things around me more frequently. i think using that extra practice, especially drawing from real life, will build a library of objects i can use and build art fundamentals like proportional accuracy.
